This is a limited tour version of the Nighttime Stories 2xLP. In addition to the double 180 gram black vinyl and the original Stoughton gatefold jacket, this version comes with a hand screenprinted double sided outer sleeve with original gatefold artwork by Delicious Design League. We made 250 copies of this total and had been holding on to a quantity of them for upcoming touring, but as of now it is unclear when we will be able to hit the road again. This does NOT come with a download of Nighttime Stories (since Southern Lord hold the digital rights for that album and this is a band-run account), but if you don't have a digital copy of the album and want one, we're sure something can be arranged after purchase. It *does* come with a download of our recent album Live at the Grog Shop, which some might also find enjoyable.

Our first EP for Southern Lord was digital/vinyl only - so we prepared a *limited edition* (of 1000 copies) run of CDs ourselves, replete with custom designed and hand screenprinted CD jackets by Delicious Design League. These have been out of print and unavailable for 11 years, but just came across a few extras while cleaning up the office. The CD pressing plant somehow fucked up and put the songs in the wrong order, so playing order is different than what the packaging reads, making this even more of a collector's item? Includes our cover of Earth's "Geometry of Murder" that we somehow got Dylan Carlson to play on, which was a surreal experience we'll never forget. This does *not* come with a digital download of the EP (because, as stated above, Southern Lord hold the digital rights to that and this is a band-run account), but we'll throw in our recent live album Live at the Grog Shop and if you *really* need mp3s of this hit us up after purchasing and we'll work something out.

The twelfth show of the Nighttime Stories tour took place at the Grog Shop, a venue that has played host to many, many memorable Pelican shows over our nearly 20 year tenure. This night was no exception, as we were joined by our great friends Bloodiest and Six Kills Nine. Moreover, this leg of the tour - four shows in the Midwest over the course of a long weekend - kicked off with Trevor crushing a fingertip on his left hand while loading amps into the practice room two days before hitting the road.

For this jaunt we enlisted the talents of our longtime friend and erstwhile live sound collaborator Matt Hannigan, who has a habit of recording multitrack audio of the shows he mixes. On listening back to the recordings, we were particularly into this one: it seems to really capture the excitement and energy of the night (and tour, overall).

We'd been planning to share a recording from this tour at some point and now just seems the moment - with the next leg of live dates postponed and no definitive sense of when we'll be able to perform together again, we felt compelled to share. We hope we can revisit these songs in front of audiences again soon. Until then, please take care of yourselves; stay safe, stay healthy.
