DoujinShinji Seeing Pelican's beginnings is certainly interesting. Heavy and sludgy, which would then carry into their first LP "Australasia" until they'd develop their sound more with the following "The Fire in Our Throats..." Fans of the band, and such heavy music in general, should check this out. Especially when it has the classic Mammoth. One of the band's first songs, but still reigns up there as one of their best. Favorite track: Mammoth.

Jay Lane The magnitude of Pelican's heaviness is as deceptive as UV rays from the sun. I saw Pelican play at a metal festival with over 60 other bands and Pelican was easily one of the heaviest performances of the entire fest. Take caution when listening to this band or you will get burned. Favorite track: Mammoth.

Our first recording. Initially self-released in a limited edition of roughly 667 copies, the EP was released in it's definitive edition by Hydrahead (www.hydrahead.com) in 2003, starting our long and fruitful relationship with those derelicts.

Great EP. The vocal version really gives the song a new tone, and little needs to be said about the Broadrick remix—the man’s a legend. The Palms remix adds a new twist on the vocal version, and The Wait is a great new track. Worth every cent. drudgeon
